Kai for Octacan – the spirit of winter giving

Octacan is the Presbyterian Support Family Works Foodbank major winter food drive – help us re-stock our stores by donating canned and non-perishable food.
Our food bank is Dunedin’s busiest and supports many local people through the winter months. This year Octacan is aligned with the rising of the Matariki cluster marking Māori New Year, to highlight the importance of sharing kai and gathering together as a community.
Getting involved is easy! Bring your cans or gold coins to the Lower Octagon and arrange them on the star shapes. Puaka kai rau, Matariki huka nui!
