Come gather at the water’s edge of Ōtakou Harbour, to share in the mana of Māori and Pacific stories as we welcome Puaka and Matariki in our southern skies.
The spectacular and immersive Mana Moana show is returning to Ōtepoti 14 – 16 July 2023.
Launching at Steamer Basin, the harbour will hold its own bespoke programme of short art films, created by collaborations both locally and across the moana. Mātauranga Māori and Pacific filmic artworks are infused with the mauri of the water screen they are projected on. Come and engage in the beauty and the challenge of collective narratives in action.
Mana Moana coincides with the annual Puaka Matariki Festival which runs from 10 – 21 July and Matariki Ahuka Nui at Tūhura Otago Museum 14 July.
