Reaching for the Sky with Manu Tukutuku Art Exhibition
10/07/2018, 9.00am – 4.00pm
FREE
Studio2 is a creative studio space where local artists with disabilities are supported to create artwork, experiment with a range of materials and develop their own styles and profiles. Margaret Freeman Gallery is a small art gallery dedicated to helping marginalised artists share their work.
As an opportunity to learn about traditional Māori kite making, practice whanaukataka (social relationships) and to add a touch of variety and vibrancy to the sky, the artists at Studio2 will celebrate Puaka Matariki by making a growing collection of Manu Tukutuku to be exhibited in the Margaret Freeman Gallery. We invite you to pop in view the growing exhibition (and see how many kites we can make!)
Studio2 & Margaret Freeman Gallery, 147 Hillside Road, South Dunedin
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10‒19 July, 9am ‒ 12pm, 1‒4pm. FREE
