Saturday 10 July, 3.00pm6.00pm

FREE

A conversation between our Blue Oyster Caselberg Trust Summer Resident for 2021 Turumeke Harrington (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Raukawa ki Tonga, Ngāti Toa Rangatira) and guests Kiri Jarden (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Raukawa ki Tonga, Ngāti Toa Rangatira), Metiria Stanton Turei (Rangitāne, Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa, Ātihaunui-ā-Pāpārangi) and Piupiu Maya Turei (Rangitāne, Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa, Ātihaunui-ā-Pāpārangi) about taonga, value, and embodied ancestry. Using the exhibition SPECIAL TIME (Ehara i te tī) as a starting point, this talk will thread together questions including: What will our future taonga be? How do we handle objects from the future? How could our museological systems function in the future? Please join us after the kōrero for a shared meal.

Please contact us to book for the meal and to pass on any dietary requirements.
