In recognition of Puaka Matariki, join us for a special outdoor screening under the stars of Whina. Pull up a bean bag, grab a blanket and settle in under the Matariki star cluster in the Lan Yuan courtyard for this special event.
Flawed yet resilient, Whina tells the story of a woman formed by tradition, compelled by innovation, and guided by an instinct for equality and justice whose legacy as the Te Whaea o te Motu (Mother of the Nation) was an inspiration to an entire country.
The garden will open at 6pm, with the film scheduled to start at 6.30pm. Green tea will be served, and dumplings and steamed buns will be available for purchase, along with other tea varieties.
In the case of wet weather, the screening will take place in the Toitū Auditorium.
