If you do not need funding for your event, please complete only the Event Registration Form. It’s important you answer all the questions on this form, unless marked optional. We will use your answers to questions 1‒10 to promote your event in the Festival programme. Please make sure these answers are suitable for publication. Please tick the box next to the area which applies to your event:Whanaukataka: Relationship, kinship, sense of family connection – a relationship through shared experiences and working together which provides people with a sense of belongingThe Whanaukataka funding area is aimed at small events or gatherings that bring whānau and communities together. You can apply for up to $500. Hui: To gather, congregate, assemble, meetThe Hui funding area is aimed at larger events that may go over a number of days or an event that is aimed at a larger group of people. You can apply for between $500 and $2500. Whakanui: To enlarge, celebrate, honour, exalt, magnifyThe Whakanui funding area supports either a large event or events. If you apply for $2500 or more, you must also send us a full budget and quotes for your costs. Before you apply, you must also speak with the Festival Coordinator to discuss your event. Please tell us how your event supports the aims of this funding area: *Tell us how your event supports the kaupapa or values of the Puaka Matariki Festival – namely, the celebration of wānaka and whanaukataka; if you are unsure of how to answer this question, contact the Festival Coordinator for assistance: *If your grant application is successful, how will you acknowledge the funding support: * List the costs for your event. This could include: venue or equipment hire, performers fee, kai, poster printing, etc. For example: COST 1: Venue Hire $150. You do not need to fill all the spaces provided. Plant, equipment, fixtures and chattels, and unsustainable items (such as plastic disposable utensils) are not eligible for funding. Summary of costs: *List your costs here, line by line. Total at the end. List the income for your event Including the amount you are requesting from the Puaka Matariki Contestable Fund. Other income could include grants or donations, estimated ticket sales or admission fees, koha etc. For example: Income 2: Ticket Sales $300. Please also remember to include in-kind contributions, such as volunteer time and donated goods and services. List each item of income on a separate line, and provide a TOTAL at the end. If the TOTAL COSTS are more than the TOTAL INCOME, please explain how you will cover the shortfall: * Bank account detailsThis is the account we will pay your grant into, if your application is successful. You must attach proof of these details from your bank. This could be a bank deposit slip, a screen shot of your bank account name and number, or a copy of a bank statement.
